2.5 out of 5 stars

This is a confused film from Gautham Menon. The director couldn’t decide between making a Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya and a Vettayadu Vilayadu. What we finally see is a boring lengthy love story in the first half and a poor re-hash of the director’s earlier films in the second half. Ajith is fine and plays his part to perfection. It is the screenplay that has let him down. Time he stopped his salt pepper style if he really wants to play a romantic hero. Trisha looks gorgeous and Anushka appears tired. The show stealer is Arun Vijay as the main villain. Songs are a big letdown except for one peppy number. In the second half just when you are expecting the film to take-off, a song is inserted which again slows the film. You go expecting a cop thriller but you see a clichéd love story with sentiments, profanity and some illogical screenplay. If Gautham Menon wants to comeback he should choose an innovative script.
