This film is a big bore. Jyothika’s brother Sasikumar tries to solve problems by using his muscle power and her husband Samuthrakani tries to go by the law to solve issues. This personal conflict leads to a family conflict. Jyothika takes a vow that she will talk to her brother only when Samuthrakani talks to him. We all know what will happen in the end but it is that journey that tests your patience. The director fails in establishing the brother-sister bonding or the husband-wife love for each other. This is where the film falls flat. We are never given a moment to connect with the film. The director seems to be confused if he should give importance to Sasikumar or producer, Jyothika. Soori’s comedy also doesn’t work. Samuthrakani is full of contradictions and that too leaves you confused. The music and few sentiment scenes work.
