4.5 out of 5 stars

A fantastic film and a must watch – without kids. It is one of the finest cop films in recent times. There is a dacoit gang which randomly robs houses after brutally killing those in the house. The film is on how Theeran, a DSP, tracks and hunts them down. I was floored by Vinoth’s Sadhuranga Vettai. The film had a lot of research on how frauds are committed. I definitely knew this film is going to be different. Vinoth exceeds those expectation with an equally brilliant film with a lot of research and with all commercial elements. From start to end, every scene is thrilling. Except for the love sequences which drag big time, everything else is good. Gibran’s great songs appear wasted because they are placed one after the other to complete the romance portions in the first half. Karthi has done a great job and Rakul is good too. The cinematography and locations are good. Gibran’s music is the lifeline and he is simply super. At 2hr40min the film is long and especially the second half looks stretched. Don’t miss.
