2 out of 5 stars

English Ted was naughty and funny while this tamil Teddy is more sentimental and hence disappointing. Director, Sakthi Sounder Rajan needs to be appreciated for constantly trying to be different. However, the director couldn’t come up with an interesting screenplay this time. The basic plot is a bit unbelievable and perhaps the problem starts there. Few people kidnap Sayeesha and try to sedate her. In that process, her soul moves to a Teddy Bear which comes to life. The teddy takes the help of Arya to save Sayeesha. Arya is too stiff for the role and is not his normal self. Some characters in the film act as if it is normal for a teddy to talk and that beats all logic. Music is good. The film is a wasted opportunity.
