3.5 out of 5 stars

After a long time, a good movie on music. GV Prakash is Peter Johnson. His dad makes mridangam. Nedumudi Venu is an acclaimed mridangam player and GV gets to hear him play. He immediately takes a liking for the instrument and wants to learn for Nedumudi Venu and perform. How he goes about his dream forms the plot. The film has great music, excellent performances and an interesting screenplay. Except for some time in the second half, the film is generally racy and interesting. The love angle and the Guru-Sishyan relationship are both plus points of the film. Especially, Nedumudi Venu is brilliant. ARR’s songs and the percussion music are super. Watch the film, you will definitely like it.
