4.5 out of 5 stars

Wow….what a film. Director Ram does it again. Everything is simple yet this film is one of its kind. Shiva and Grace are busy parents who love their naughty son, Mithul. The family tries had to make ends meet. Shiva works as a delivery executive planning to start his own shop and Grace runs a saree business. Mithul is mostly locked in his house during holiday season while the parents go to work. One such time, when Grace is away in Coimbatore to run a saree stall during an event, the father and son are forced to go out on a Road trip. The film is all about the various people they meet or incidents that happen during these couple of days. What makes this movie interesting are the various well written characters and the musical narration format. There are numerous songs that add to the humour and story. Kudos to music director Santhosh Dhayanidhi and lyricist Madhan Karky for the lively songs. Shiva is absolutely brilliant in his role as an accommodating dad and his one liner comedy ensures that film is entertaining throughout. Grace Anthony showcases her acting talent in every single frame especially the scene where she loses her money and finds it. The life line of the film is the little boy Mithul. He plays innocence and naughtiness extremely well. Every character is well written. The segment with Anjali is super good. The final chase looks a bit over stretched. The ending card looks forced as the director doubted if he has transferred the message effectively. Some might find the musical format artificial. I loved it and hence would rate this as a must watch.
