3.5 out of 5 stars

This is a well made village movie that is funny and also interesting. Vidharth and family plan to sacrifice a goat in the temple of their village deity. The whole village travels with them in a lorry. The lorry hits a person. The basic plot is about how the villagers try to manage the situation and cover up the death. Kudos to debutant director, Suresh Sangaiah for such an original film. The comedy is brilliantly woven into the screenplay and there are no dull moments until the very end. Towards the end, the movie starts to lag and this could have been avoided. Also, one does not know the real motive of the only baddie in the film as it does not seem to be money. Using the goat and focusing on the goat as a witness to what’s happening is a subtle directorial touch. The film is worth watching.
