5 out of 5 stars

The best release of the year. A fantastic film that is an absolute entertainer. A film that cannot be missed. The film is about two kids who live in a slum and earn their living by picking coals from a nearby railway track. They watch actor Simbu opening a nearby Pizza store. Simbu also tastes the Pizza. The kids now want to eat pizza like their hero and whether they realise their dream forms rest of the plot. The kids are brilliant and natural. Ishwarya Rajesh as the kids mother has played a life time role. Every scene has a meaning and every character has been clearly crafted. GV Praksh’s music is a big asset. The film belongs to it’s director, Manikantan (who is also the cinematographer). To conceive such a film and bring it to life…brilliant! The film has already made an impact in the international film festival circuit and has won two national awards. We will be making a big mistake if we treat this as just another good film. The film makes you realise the social differences. It is not about the rich and the poor. It lets you know how certain things are not reachable to some people even if they have money. How some people try to make money out of everything and how some people even in dire situations live by their values. It is a mirror shown at our face and the beauty is the director has made no effort to make it explicit. Hats off!
