3 out of 5 stars

An interesting film that deserves a watch for the making style and performances. The film falls short in terms of lack of a strong plot and has predictable twists. The story happens in 1947 in a fictional village which is disconnected from rest of Tamil Nadu. The villagers are treated like slaves by the British Officer incharge. It is just few days before independence but the news of independence hasn’t reached the villagers. The general decides to hide this truth. There is a parallel love track involving hero Gautham Karthik. Everyone seem to have played their part well. Some of the scenes go on even after conveying the essence. Period films are rare and this one has been shot well. Hence worth a watch.
