4 out of 5 stars

Lives up to its title. It is a beautiful teenage love story with outstanding music and one of the best cinematography in recent times. Sathya (Aarya’s brother) and new comer Mia George have played their role to perfection. The story is simple. Two classmates in school fall in love and the problems they face forms the main plot. It is a period love story set in 1980s Ooty. The romantic scenes are shot really well and it is been a long time since we saw such a fresh full fledged romantic movie in tamil. Music by Ghibran is fantastic and the songs are shot extremely well. Lack of comedy makes the narration slow. One can always ask many questions on why the lead characters behaved in a certain way but that would be really stupid. There are always numerous ways by which human beings react and I will ask such questioners to go and read Frost’s”Road Not Taken”. Kudos to director Jeeva Shankar for such a beautiful love story and excellent camera work. If you are someone who doesn’t like plain love stories, you will not like this film. Infact, I expect most people to not like such a film. I love watching such films.
