The film is a remake of Telugu hit, Arjun Reddy. To call it a faithful remake would be an understatement as it is a scene by scene reproduction and gives you the same feel as watching the original. The film starts with the hero Adi, a doctor with anger issues who is on a self-destruction mode. Rest of the film explains the reason through a flashback. The first half is racy with college romance and humour. The second half is also entertaining but would appear a bit longer. The film introduces Vikram’s son, Dhruv as hero. He tries hard to fit the big shoes of Vijay Devarakonda and succeeds to some extent. The heroine is a big letdown especially if you have watched Shalini Pandey. The songs were fantastic in Telugu and the music director has used the same tunes with Tamil lyrics and this gives a dubbed movie feel at times. The Telugu original was chauvinistic and it worked. I would have loved if this was corrected in Tamil. The film is strictly for adults with some 30 lip locks, drug usage and several reference to sex.
