A heart warming film that showcases the middle class dream of owning a house without too much melodrama. Sarathkumar, his wife Devayani and kids, Siddarth and Meetha Raghunath live in a rented home. The family dreams of owning an apartment. The various roadblocks and whether they achieved their dream is narrated in a realistic manner. This could have easily become a tear jerker but the director has carefully managed to make it a fast paced interesting story. Sarathkumar is brilliant in his role of a middle class father. With every changing timeline, his makeup and mannerisms change well. Truly an award deserving performance. Siddarth and Meetha are excellent too. The father son episodes are very good. Devayani has no major role to play. The music is also very good. It is only towards the very end, the film turns a bit unrealistic. Go for it.
