4 out of 5 stars

A must watch films for Nivin Pauly’s fans, youth, politicians and fans of good and honest films. While to some extent it could be seen as a communist propaganda film, it’s main theme is about people fighting together for the right cause. This is current and extremely relevant in today’s context. Nivin is Krishnakumar, a low rank politician with great aspirations. He even has a 10point rule which he thinks will help him become a CM soon. He is asked by a senior to donate blood to an ailing comrade. Initially Nivin goes than uninterested. However, he slowly gets inspired by the story of ailing comrade Krishnan (also played by Nivin). How this story changes him is narrated in an interesting manner in this one day story. Nivin steals the show with a mature performance in two roles and three makeovers. The dialogues are brilliant and the music lifts the movie to a different level. Aishwarya Rajesh is good too. Some forced action sequences could have been avoided. At more than 160min, the film is too long. For a person like me who follows politics closely, there were several goose bump moments.
