A fun movie that is worth watching. A rich carefree guy falls in love with a serious career focused tv anchor. They fall in love but the biggest challenge is to convince their respective families. They decide to swap places and spend time with the in-laws. This is a plot that was seen in Telugu hit, Bommarillu (Santosh Subramanium) and attempted again in different forms in different languages. The lack of novelty is balanced by Ranveer Singh’s acting and Alia Bhatt’s beautiful face. Oops! Did I do just the opposite of what the movie advocates…the mistake of talking about the heroine’s beauty instead acting? Well, the movie is filled with cliches. Like a friend pointed out, the heroine snubs and insults her colleague who is actually a nice guy. She gets away with a lot of bad behavior including making fun of the hero until the very end. She never takes the hero seriously, but the director wants us to see only what he wants us to see. The movie is definitely entertaining if you don’t take it seriously.
