Another great film from Pedro Almodovar. A director hits a creative block and stops making films. He also has some health complications. The film is narrated in a series of flashbacks and current timeline. We understand the early life of the director and pain he had gone through before attaining glory. The film is about his recovery and redemption. Great storytelling and excellent acting. The film has been rightly nominated for Oscars.
