4 out of 5 stars

A brilliant film about alcoholism and how it affects a group of friends. Four school teachers come across a study which says alcohol can help them be happy and do their work better. To achieve this, they decide to hold their blood alcohol level at a certain level always. What happens because of this forms the basic plot. The film clearly belongs to the director and his lead actor, Mads Mikkelsen. As the friends start drinking the way their lives improve and how it slowly starts falling apart is the highlight of the film. The climax scene with the lead actor dancing has been shot like a poetry. The film is almost certain to win the academy award for best international film.
