3.5 out of 5 stars

Trumbo is a film is based on the real life story of Dalton Trumbo. Dalton Trumbo is an american screen writer who gets blacklisted by the film fraternity for his communist views. To make ends meet, he becomes a ghost writer for movies and some of them (Roman Holiday and The Brave One) even win oscars. However, the oscar is given to the ghost writers. The film traces the ordeals that Trumbo and his family face and of course the happy ending. Bryan Cranston has transformed himself into Dalton Trumbo and has been nominated for an oscar. He is really good with the body language of an arrogant communist. The film has several nice moments. The dark side of yesteryear hollywood is also exposed. The film also covers some of my favourite movies where Trumbo has played a role and hence I was able to relate with the film.
