Watch the film for Andra Day’s outstanding performance and some good music. The film is based on the life of singer, Billie Holiday and how the government tried to stop her from singing the song, Strange Fruit (a song based on lynching). The film is definitely not interesting and drags big time. It is Andra Day’s performance that stands out and makes the film worthy. Hope she wins an academy award for her performance.
