A film based on the book written by Stephen Hawking’s wife, Jane. Eddie Redmayne is brilliant as the scientist, who gets affected by a motor disease. The film obviously focusses on his personal life more and the sacrifices made by his wife Jane. The film is long and boring at times but stands a testimony to Stephen Hawking’s willpower and lets you know that there is always hope. The direction is flawless and acting is superlative (though I still don’t know how Eddie won the the oscars over Michael Keaton). This is an arthouse film.
