4.5 out of 5 stars

A fantastic film. Guillermo del Toro once again proves that he is brilliant when it comes to fantasy and monsters. Sally Hawkins is mute and works as a janitor in a research lab. She is lonely and has only two friends – her neighbour and a colleague (Octavia Spencer). One day, an amphibious monster is brought to their research facility and soon Sally Hawkins develops a friendship with this monster. I can’t reveal more. This film is a must watch. Everything is nice about the film, Screenplay, Acting, Direction, Music and Cinematography. The director is super-efficient in translating his vision to screen and deserves an Oscar. So does Sally or Octavia and even the technical crew. There are some scenes which we don’t know why it is there. Example: Eggs boiling in water is shown many times. The film is strictly for adults.
