3.5 out of 5 stars

An interesting thriller. In 2022, crime and unemployment is at its lowest because of an annual event call “The Purge”. For a period of 7 hours, people can vent their anger by killing whoever they want to. There will be no case against the killer. During this period, no emergency services will operate too. People either hide inside their homes or are on the street to kill others. The story is about a family that tries to lock themselves inside and what happens when a group of people try to enter their house. The plot is intriguing and the film thrills from start until the very end. There are times when the film slackens towards the end and a tighter interesting ending would have made this even more enjoyable.
