A good original thriller from Manoj Night Shyamalan. A family on vacation visits a beach only to realize that time moves much faster in the beach causing them to age at rapid pace. The family and others who have come with them have to find a way to escape before it is too late. The story is interesting and several scenes are truly original. Especially the first reveal of children growing up and the child birth scene are very good. The problem with the film is uneven characterization and some of the reveals lack the punch. Once you know the situation, you wait to see how the film ends and at close to 110 minutes, the film appears to be long.
