is another masterpiece from director, Christopher Nolan. The film is based on historical events. The story happens in land (over a week), in sea (over a day) and in air (over an hour). All of them are narrated over a non linear timeline (“did someone say this film is not complicated?”). The narration however is flawless and easy to follow. Lakhs of British and allied group soldiers are stranded in a beach at Dunkirk, France. They are surrounded by the enemy group and the film is about how they were rescued. There are no special effects and the entire film is shot using 70mm film. Hans Zimmer’s music is outstanding and keeps you at the edge of your seat. He deserves an oscar for this score. The film cannot be missed. If you get an opportunity to watch it in IMAX….it is so real and you will feel like you are in Dunkirk.
