5 out of 5 stars

This is a masterpiece. It is an art. It is pure genius of an effort. The story is not great. Anyone can make such a film with multiple actors and makeup. The film is what it is because of the way it has been shot. Tracing the life of a 5-year old boy until he turns 18; for a period of 12 years with the same actors is no easy task. You will appreciate this film only if you can appreciate the effort that has gone in, otherwise it is just another film. Great performances by all and everyone deserves an award. Someday, I will meet director Richard Linklater and fall at his feet. I woke up after watching his “Waking Life”. Thought, “Before Sunrise”, “Before Sunset” and “Before Midnight” were outstanding and unique. After watching “Boyhood” I am speechless. He had taught me patience now I learnt how to make an ordinary into extraordinary. Taking a bow. Genius!
