4.5 out of 5 stars

Outstanding! Not sure when was the last time I cried so much watching a movie. This film touches you and will definitely wet your eyes even if you are someone who doesn’t get moved by films. A mentally handicapped father is arrested for a crime that he does not commit. His only daughter is outside while he is in jail. The jail inmates and other police people slowly realise that this person is innocent. How they help him and what happens to him forms the main plot. The film is funny but also has some heart moving moments. The acting is brilliant. I was wondering why this film was not nominated for awards? It definitely deserves several awards for writing, acting and direction. I even thought of this film as a sequel to “I am Sam” (Deivathirumagal in tamil). Don’t miss if you like films with light humour and a touching story. My rating could be influenced by the fact that I am a dad and I was able to relate to the lead character.
