This is an average film which has a good first half but a completely illogical ending which spoils the second half and the entire film. This film was released in OTT against major opposition from theatre owners. Surprisingly this is the second Tamil movie on OTT and not much opposition was there when RK Nagar released. Young children get murdered and the police kill the women responsible for this act in an encounter. The film’s predictability starts here and from here on offers no big surprises. We know that the women is innocent. 15 years later, Jyothika picks up this case to bring out the truth. How she manages it forms the plot. While I expected an interesting courtroom drama, most of the times Jyothika manipulates the judge with long emotional dialogues. A judge who keeps looking for solid proof suddenly flips. The characterizations are weak. Music is good. Jyothika tried to underplay her acting but still talks a lot and draws reference to several recent cases just to evoke audience sympathy. If not for the various gaps, the film would have been engaging. Yet for content starved lockdown citizens, any new film is watchable.
