2.5 out of 5 stars

A good mystery spoiled by a slow pace. The film is adapted from Agatha Christie’s novel. The plot involves the famous detective Poirot who has to solve a murder that occurs on the Orient Express. There are many suspects and all of them have a motive. Kenneth Branagh has played the role of the detective to perfection but as a director he has slipped on many fronts. Especially the slow paced narration. True, this is a typical Poirot style of investigation but it kind of tests the patience at times. The end cannot be guessed and that’s a big win. Eager to watch more of Agatha Christie’s novels on big screen.
