1.5 out of 5 stars

A thriller that you will never be able to understand. It is such a confusing film from director Darron Aronofsky that will leave you irritated when you walk out of the theatre. A couple stay in a house. The husband (Him), Javier Bardem is a writer who is suffering from a writer’s block. The wife (Mother), spends her time painting the house. They have a guest who drops into the their house, then his wife joins. They start behaving strangely and she starts losing her wit. The film is filled with several surreal moments and as an audience you will really go mad. The film was indeed thrilling and you have many suspenseful moments. Yet, the plot was beyond my common man’s understanding capability. Wonder why Aronofsky came up with such an horror of a film in the guise of art house. I would prefer to watch Pi or Requiem for a Dream again.
