4.5 out of 5 stars

Don’t Don’t miss this film. It is one of the finest Telugu entertainers in recent time. Though the film is 3hr plus, you wouldn’t mind even if it was another hour longer. The film starts with the hero Arjun Reddy, a doctor with anger issues who is on a self-destruction mode. Rest of the film explains the reason through a flashback. The first half is racy with college romance and humour. The second half is also entertaining but would appear a bit longer. However, I think it is absolutely necessary if the director has to show his main character’s suffering. This is not a sad film and everyone will like it. That is the success of director Sandeep Vanga. All credit to him and his hero, Vijay Devarakonda. The hero is brilliant. Debutant heroine, Shalini Pandey is good too. The songs are fantastic. Dialogues are very good…my favourite is “suffering is personal, let him suffer”. So many great scenes: the football stadium fight, hero seeing heroine for the first time (with a song), all the romantic scenes, hero kissing his brother-in-law, I can go on and on but can’t do so without revealing some spoilers. Certain scenes appear to be chauvinistic (though I didn’t like referring one of the students as fat). The film is strictly for adults with some 30 lip locks, drug usage and several reference to sex.
