4.5 out of 5 stars

A fantastic thriller. So happy to see the talented director couple Pushkar-Gayathri coming up with a winner. The film is made on the lines of the folktale where king Vikramadhithyan carries the Vedhalam. The Vedhalam narrates a story and asks a question which has to be answered by the king. The film starts with Madhavan (a cop) and his team killing a few rowdies in an encounter. Vijay Sethupathi (a gangster) comes out of his hiding to narrate a story to Madhavan and question him. This is one of the finest films in recent times with a great performance from both Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi. The movie links almost all the scenes very well. Except for a few scenes in the second half, there are no dull moments. Sam CS’ music is very good. Don’t miss.
