3 out of 5 stars

KV Anand has played to his strength and has come up with a winner. The film has a lot of resemblance to KO, yet, it entertains. Thanks to Vijay Sethupathi and Vijaya T Rajendar combo. The film talks about media sensationalism and how for the sake of TRP, news gets fabricated. Vijay Sethupathi works for one such channel. When he realizes their true intent, he leaves the channel to join hands with TR and expose them. The first half is good and moves swiftly. Though the second half is predictable, it still maintains the rhythm until the very end. TR can’t act but his mannerism and rhyming dialogue delivery has the audience in splits. It has been a long time since we saw a TR film and so it is refreshing. The hero plays to his strength. Madonna is wasted. The songs are average and I felt the rehashed Bharathiyar songs are an insult. Lack of a strong villain is another drawback. KV Anand has some interesting dialogues and scenes that work well.
