Don’t know if we should blame Surya’s script selection or Karthik Subbaraj’s over indulgence. This is one boring movie that doesn’t work for the entire three hour duration. Surya is the foster son of a local gangster (Jojo George). He falls in love with Pooja Hegde and decides to lead a reformed life. He hides a big consignment that belongs to Jojo. This leads to a confrontation and fight between the father and son. Surya had to go to jail and Pooja decides to leave Surya. What happens after that is the remaining 2.5hr story. There is no real story or mass moments or romantic or comedy or emotional scenes. Even the action scenes display effortlessness. Surya has put in a lot of efforts but his acting is surprisingly very shallow. Santosh Narayanan’s music is the only high point. There are several scenes including a Cult fight club in Andaman which make you wonder what happened to Karthik. Too much indulgence in trying to make a different movie. Hope he regains his mojo.
