I took some time to write this review because my one word review would be “Disappointing”. The movie is not bad. It is definitely entertaining and the kids will love it. Dory lives with Nemo and Marlyn. Dory suddenly remembers that he got separated from his parents and the film is about how this fish suffering from short term memory loss manages to track her parents. The journey is interesting and some of the characters are hilarious. Especially kids would love the scenes involving the octopus. There are very few dull moments and the movie is definitely worth watching. Now for my personal comments. It may be wrong to expect a sequel to be better than the first part but this sequel does not come from a company that milks a franchise. Pixar is known to make sequels if they are better than the original. They have proved this with Toy Story and to some extent with Monsters Inc. The only sequel that didn’t click for them was Cars 2. A movie from Andrew Stanton will make you expect another classic Pixar film like Toystory or Bug’s Life or a Wall-E. A sequel after 13 years and you walk in expecting Andrew to do a Richard Linklater (Before Sunrise, After Sunset…). When you see a rehash of Finding Nemo and a film which lacks originality and emotions that overflows in a Pixar film, you are bound to be disappointed as a true Pixar fan.
