The film is feel good and based on a certain template where an underdog goes on to win great laurels. Despite the predictability, the movie is very good. The film is about a small town girl from an orthodox family, facing hardship yet becoming successful. The film does tick all boxes when it comes to a cliched storyline. However, Nayanthara makes the movie interesting with her subtle mannerisms and a strong heroine centric role. The film talks so much about food that you will feel hungry while watching the film. The second half, especially toward the end is very emotional.
