A remake that couldn’t match the expectation. The film starts with the kidnapping of a chief minister. STR is a sand mining baron and the suspicion falls on him. Gautham Karthik is an undercover cop who tries to infiltrate STR’s camp. The story focuses more on Gautham in the first half. STR is introduced just before the interval. The second half promises to be riveting but falls short. While the performances are good, the screenplay doesn’t hold you together. ARRs music let’s you down. Priya Bhavani Shankar has no role to play. STR has made a good effort. The climax is a big let down with a gun fight that doesn’t impress.
