It is a brilliant film and a must watch. Before I proceed further, let me tell you that I am a big fan of time travel movies and have perhaps watched most movies in this genre in almost all world languages. I am fascinated by this concept and there are several directors who make some silly mistakes while executing such a script. In this case it is totally flawless and all credit should go to director Vikram Kumar’s brilliance. Surya invents a watch that can be used to time travel but his brother tries to take it from him. Can’t reveal anymore without spoiling your fun and so you need to watch it. Surya has played his part to perfection mostly but his natural overacting instincts take control at times. Samantha is OK but the love scenes involving her is such a bore. There is one dialogue that Surya keeps repeating and you can see that the audience lose their patience beyond a point. Music is by ARR?!. The songs are bad and act as a big speed breaker to the narrative. Heard that they are planning to trim the love scenes by 10 min and that’s a good move (why can’t they do this by taking feedback before the release through screening?). There are many twists in the movie and they have been very well conceived without showing the cards. Such thinking movies are the need of the hour and we need more directors like Vikram. Yavarum Nalam, then Manam and now this…he has proved it thrice. My love for this genre would have helped give a perfect score but the slow love segment and songs prevent me.
