This is a typical Vishal type action film. The film starts with Vishal inviting his friends for his wedding with Catherine. He narrates his love story to his friends. We also learn about a local don and how he has affected several people in their town including our hero. Few days before the wedding, the don gets murdered and Vishal becomes the prime suspect. The rest of the film is about how he gets out of the situation. The first half is slow with an uninteresting love story. The director (Pandiraj), cleverly finishes both the songs in the first half and 15min before the interval, the film changes gear. From then on we see a thrilling chase narrated in an interesting manner. This is the first time, Pandiraj has done an action thriller and he has actually done a pretty good job. There are no fight sequences until the very end yet the second half is thrilling. Vishal has done similar roles before and hence it is a cake walk role for him. Hip Hop Thamizha’s two songs are ordinary but his BGM score makes up for it.
