4 out of 5 stars

What a movie! If Katrathu Thamizh was a cult classic, this one proves that director Ram is here to stay. The film touches upon two storylines: a father-daughter bonding and a take on the education system…both tied seamlessly. The emotional scenes are very well taken and create the right impact. Excellent acting. The songs and music by Yuvan is top class. A special mention must be made on Arbhindhu’s cinematography which deserves a national award. There are few scenes in the second half that are unnecessary. A crisper and shorter film would have made a better impact. Watch it without expectations of a commercial masala and you will like it.
