A fantastic film. We have seen slave movies before including the brilliant Django Unchained from Tarantino. However, this is a moving tale of a free man who gets abducted and sold as a slave. Life takes a complete turn and the ordeals faced by him is narrated brilliantly in a touching manner. The film is not art house and has several interesting moments. The actors have lived their characters with some finest performances. This film is a must watch. There are scenes involving slave nudity and brutal violence and this may put off some faint hearted. They are sensitively handled and absolutely required to make an impact.
