4.5 out of 5 stars

Drishyam is fantastic. Been wanting to watch this classic for a long time and finally managed. True, the basic plot is based on the japanese novel/movie – Suspect X. However, the film has its original moments and keeps you glued to your seat. A loving family is threatened by an unfortunate murder. What the head of the family (Mohanlal) does to save his family and the extent he is willing to go forms the story of this fantastic thriller. The film can be considered as one of Lalettan’s best. He delivers a superlative performance. There is absolutely no flaw in this film and I loved the ending. The first half takes time to establish the plot and this could have been done a little faster. If you haven’t watched this film, go watch it immediately.
