Kochadaiiyaan has a good story, grand presentation, is short and more than all this…has Rajini. The film has a few twists and hence I cannot reveal the story. This is not your usual Rajini film and the hardcore Thalaivar fans will definitely be disappointed. The film has a strong storyline like the 60s mythological films. It has also has too many songs just like the olden days. The animation is grand but childish. Wonder why they compared this with Avatar when the quality is similar to Chotta Bheem. Rajini’s dialogues are brilliant and is a treat to watch. The looks of other characters don’t resemble their real life self (due to poor animation). It is a joy to watch Nagesh on screen. Some habits don’t change, even our animated Deepika Padukone doesn’t know how to wear a dupatta and surprisingly they have top angle shots for her…”hello this is an animation movie”. The stunt and dance sequences are very good. BGM by ARR is good too. A little humour, lesser songs, more Rajinism and ofcourse better animation would have made this film a classic. Yet, watch the film for the sheer screen presence of one man who in whichever form makes the fans go wild.
