The film deserves the oscar nomination that it received for Best Foreign Language film. It is a simple thriller with a love angle and great twists. A palestinian (Omar) is in love with his friend’s sister. He is forced to become and informant by the israeli military who want to capture his friend. What is more important, his love, his friend or his life. The film is fast paced, and you can never guess what’s coming next until the end. The scenes where he climbs the Palestinian wall or tortured by police patrol are reflections on the impact of war. The first few scenes where the friends spend a great time without any worries and how things change later is again a classic story telling. A great film.
