Original and well made. The film comes from Alexandre Aja who has made some excellent horrors like HillsHaveEyes or HighTension. I started watching this film expecting it to be a horror but was pleasantly surprised to see a fantasy suspense thriller. The film starts with people and press hounding Daniel Radcliffe for the rape and murder of his girlfriend. While Daniel denies this, no one seems to believe him. Suddenly one day, he starts growing a horn and people around him cannot lie to him. How he uses this to his advantage forms the rest of the story. The film is unique and enjoyable. The situations that arise after his horn are entertaining. Fantasy genre is difficult to handle, yet the director has managed it very well. The film also has a beautiful love story. A few scenes towards the end defy logic and hence unbelievable (though it is a fantasy). The director could have taken some care to make this believable. Do not miss this film if you like fantasy films.
