2.5 out of 5 stars

A visually breathtaking but a not so impressive film. The film is about how Moses rises against the egyptian pharaoh Ramses (his friend turned enemy) and frees 6 Lakh slaves. The film starts well with an excellent battle where Moses (Bale) saves his friend Prince Ramses. The film is fast paced until Moses is banished from the kingdom. It is only after this that the film turns really slow. The scenes where God creates havoc in the kingdom through animals, plague and other diseases is spectacular. The visual effects are brilliant, however, this is also the problem. While we are expecting Moses to do something to save his people, we get disappointed to see that everything that happens on screen is an act of God and there is nothing that Moses does to free the people. What a waste.
