Mostly good but lastly tiring 😊. The story is simple. Simbu’s dad takes him to meet Nayan. They like each other and agree to get married. Nayan asks Simbu about his earlier love. Simbu narrates to her, his love story with Andrea. When Nayan and Simbhu are about to get married, a problem arises and this leads to a predictable climax. The first half is good with some comic relief from Soori and predictable twists. It is the second half that moves aimlessly testing your patience. The entire second half has Simbu talking on phone with Nayan and you wonder if it is because she refused to appear with him in the same frame. The only saving grave is Soori’s one liners. It is nice to see the ex couple together. One also needs to appreciate Simbu for taking a dig at himself in many scenes. However, beyond a point it appears like they have gone overboard as the dialogues are not connected with the character and one cannot go on and on about Simbu the actor. To top this, there are also scenes where the other characters justify the many loves of Simbu and try to evoke sympathy. Simbu’s brother Kuralarasan has come up with good hummable music. A forced item song looks odd. One waits endlessly for the movie to end in the second half. Yet, one needs to give it director Pandiaraj for coming up with a breezy love story that is built on the strength of the real life characters of his lead actors and managing the humour from start to end. A little more focus towards the end could have made this film a complete entertainer.
