A movie for tennis lovers. It is a real-life story based on a 1973 tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. Billie Jean King is upset with the inequality in pay between the men and women’s tennis despite equal ticket sales. Hence, she starts her own all women’s tour and runs it successfully. This upsets the Tennis Association and they expel the women tennis players who have joined Billie’s tour. Billie continues to stand up for women’s right to equal pay. Meanwhile, Bobby Riggs boasts that at his age of 55, he can beat any woman tennis player and challenges Billie to play with him. Emma Stone is good as Billie but it is Steve Carrel who steals the show as Bobby Riggs. A must watch for tennis fans. I am now keen to read about Billie Jean King! Whattya woman.
