I am amazed with the kind of movies that get made in Hollywood. This is a simple story of a young mischievous girl and how she spends her summer holiday while her young and wacky mother tries hard to make ends meet. Moone is six years old and spends most of her time engaging in mischief along with her friends and creating trouble for everyone who lives in their motel. Her mom is equally wacky and doesn’t care about Moone’s behaviour. This sets an entertaining premise for the film and there are several funny moments. The dialogues are witty, and you will just fall from your chair a few times. Willem Dafoe as the caring motel manager has come up with a career best performance. Both the girl (Brooklyn Prince) and her mom (Bria Vinaite) are brilliant. Such a simple one liner story yet an entertaining film. Kudos.
