A disturbing film that can be watched only for great acting performances and cinematography. Robert Pattinson arrived as a temporary lighthouse worker in an isolated island. The only other person in the island is his supervisor Willem Dafoe. Loneliness drives both of them crazy and in that process there is a high risk that the viewers also go crazy. Both the characters have given their best performance and sad that they didn’t get recognized enough through award nominations. The black and white cinematography is excellent. This movie is not for everyone because of the gore and erratic narration.
