The film is a mix of several English and Vijayakanth movies that we have watched in the past. It works to some extent but also bores you with the numerous preachy messages and logical loopholes. Surya is a Special Protection Force agent and he saves the Prime Minister from a terror attack. The PM appoints him as his Chief Security Officer and Surya goes about eradicating terrorists and saving the country. Mohanlal as the PM is good and Arya too has a good role. While Surya plays his part well, he advices the farmers, PM, Terrorists and sometimes even the audience. Harris Jeyaraj’s music is very ordinary and Sayeesha has been completely wasted. India is always shown like Syria or Afghanistan with terrorists attacking and Surya is almost everywhere saving people. He is practically invincible. While this is normal for a masala film, the standards set by KV Anand is a lot higher and hence it disappoints to see a cliched film.
