The film is a faithful remake of Pink and I have pasted my Pink review again (Just replace Amitabh with Ajith and Tapsee with Shraddha Srinath). Pink is a must watch. The film is simple yet so relevant. It asks the right questions that makes you think. Three girls go to a rock concert and end up in an after party with three boys. When one of them tries to misbehave, the girl smashes a bottle on him and he is hurt badly. Then begins a game of revenge which ends up with one of the girls being jailed. Amitabh a lawyer with bipolar disorder takes up the case. The courtroom drama is the highlight of the film with fantastic dialogues that makes everyone think. Amitabh plays his role to perfection and carries the entire film on his shoulders. Tapsee and the other two girls give him excellent support. Except for a few dragging scenes in the second half, the film is fast paced and entertaining. It helps break a few stereotypes and lets you realise (and feel ashamed) on the kind of world that we currently live in. Kudos to the director and his team for coming up with a film that is extraordinary. [I have reduced the rating because of an unnecessary romance scene with Vidyabalan and letting go one of the key molesters in the Tamil version. I liked the mass action sequence before the interval which was there to satisfy Ajith’s fans]
